Give now to transform a Hostel into a Home for tribal college students
A chance at higher education is the stepping stone to transform the economic opportunities for Tribal youth. Having to travel long distances to college acts as a barrier. These college-going tribal youth need your help to achieve a breakthrough!
Hemant Pore lives in Kiniste village, 30 km away from his college. He dreams of becoming an engineer, but his family has just enough money to cover the tuition. Travelling 4 hours daily will drain his finances and energy and impact his studies. Access to a midway home, and a comfortable space to live and study would mean the choice between continuing or discontinuing his education. Between staying a daily wage earner or becoming an engineer as he dreamed.
Your donation of Rs 1000/- and more will go towards repairing and upgrading a hostel for 60 Tribal youth like Hemant.
We have already received in-kind donations amounting to Rs. 1,38,000/- (Contact info@grameenfirst.org or 8291565807 for in-kind donations)
This project is jointly implemented with the Government Tribal Development Project Office of Mokhada.
Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of these students. Let's come together and create a supportive environment where these young minds can thrive and reach their full potential. Join us in building a brighter future for the tribal youth. Every contribution counts!
